Elvis Presley Enterprises is is looking for the Elvis tribute artist that "best represents the legacy of Elvis Presley." Tribute artists will receive the opportunity to compete in preliminary rounds of the competition in various locations around the world for their chance to win a spot in the semi-finals that will take place in Memphis during Elvis Week 2008 in August. Only winners of official preliminary rounds of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest will be able to compete in the semi-finals for their chance at the title. The winner of the 2008 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest will receive the title of Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist of 2008 and be officially recognized by Elvis Presley Enterprises. In addition, the winner will receive the opportunity to sign on to a 12-week paid performance contract to appear with Legends in Concert. in its numerous locations including its permanent locations in Myrtle Beach, Branson, Atlantic City and Seattle.
